Every surgical patient receives a comprehensive pre-operative examination by one of our veterinarians, along with any recommended diagnostic testing, to ensure your pet is healthy enough for anesthesia and surgery.

For pets requiring orthopedic procedures or other advanced surgical services, we take a collaborative approach with our travelling board-certified surgeon:

• Your pet will first be evaluated by one of our experienced staff veterinarians, who will perform a thorough examination, review any diagnostic imaging, and determine the most appropriate treatment plan for your pet.
• If specialized surgery is recommended, we then contact and coordinate with our highly skilled board-certified visiting surgeon to perform these procedures at Tri-County Animal Hospital.
• Once your pet has been evaluated, we’ll schedule the surgical appointment when the specialist is available, allowing your pet to receive advanced surgical care in the familiar, comfortable environment of our hospital.
